Boondocking in South Carolina

Its been a fun 3.5 months of fulltime RVing and we are finally doing what we wanted to do most: Boondocking! As I wrote a few months ago there are a number of camping spots near Charlotte South Carolina that we wanted to check out. After spending a few nights south of Myrtle Beach at the Huntington State Park we set of today for a short drive to Francis Marion National Forest. After talking with the ranger they recommended we go to Honey Hill and we did. I made a quick video from the campsite.

All who wander are not lost

Roger: Since I was a child I have always dreamed of being an astronaut and travelling to other planets and worlds. As I grew older the reality set in that a space travelling life would not be in my future, but I like to think that this current adventure we are on is a different version of the same thing. I love to travel and see new things and meet different people and most importantly I like to think that dreams can be made real.

This film reminded me of that:

It’s time for us to start heading south ’cause its getting COLD! Having lived in Phoenix for 14 years I do not do well when the temps dip below 60 degrees. That’s a fact jack! We will be doing Thanksgiving in Raleigh with family and then heading towards southern Florida shortly after that.
